Dr. Gerry Dembrowski Taking a Second Shot at the 5th Congressional District Seat

Dr. Gerry Dembrowski is a chiropractic primary care physician and small business owner. Gerry grew up in, and remains a resident of Woburn, MA. He played ice hockey in the Canadian junior league and semi-pro in the Midwestern United States. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Chemical Sciences from Salem State College. Gerry earned his doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Palmer College in San Jose CA.

After 8 years of marriage and a long battle with Breast Cancer Gerry’s wife Margerie Dembrowski passed away in 2010. Margerie remains a source of motivation and inspiration for Gerry in his campaign.

Over the past 36 years few serious contenders have challenged Edward Markey for the seventh congressional district House of Representatives seat. Last year, Mr. Markey campaigned door to door for the first time since his election in 1976 in response to Dr. Gerry's grass roots efforts.

In the 2012 election he will once again come up against his most formidable congressional challenger, as Dr. Gerry returns to the campaign trail.

Dr. Gerry believes the time has come for the citizens of Massachusetts to take the government back from career politicians and special interests, and begin the necessary steps to get our country focused again on the principles that made our country the greatest nation in the world:

  • preservation of individual freedoms
  • limited government
  • and a government run by and for the people.

Gerry believes his experience as a small business owner is critical to understanding the impact legislation will have on the life blood of our economy- the small and medium sized business sector.

His experience as a primary care provider has kept him in touch with the people of his district, and he is committed to fighting for their needs and for their best interests.

Gerry believes that continued government expansion and intervention through stimulus programs, complex regulation, and corporate bailouts can only worsen our economic crisis.

He has strong, fiscally conservative principles and believes that the free market, including businesses and individuals, will fuel our economic recovery– not the federal government.
